Campaigns – Recycling and waste:
Recycling uptake is far behind the UK.
Kerbside recycling is only in Douglas and Braddan provided at no cost.
All the material in the refuse bins gets delivered to the incinerator and burnt without any sorting out beforehand.
We want to see:
-less packaging – and therefore less waste – created in the first place
– all local authorities providing free kerbside recycling
